1. Introduction
EcomYogi G Works OPC Private Limited (“Company”, “we”, “us”) operates an online hiring and recruitment facilitation platform accessible via subdomains of ecomyogi.in, including hiring.ecomyogi.in, and associated services (collectively, the “Platform”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect personal data of Employers, Candidates (including Persons with Disabilities and transgender persons), and other Users (“you”).
By accessing or using the Platform, creating an account, or submitting any information, you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).
2. Scope and Roles under DPDP
This Privacy Policy applies to all personal data collected through:
- The Platform (website, forms, communication tools, etc.).
- Emails, calls or other communication channels used to provide our Services.
For purposes of the DPDP Act:
The Company acts as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000 in respect of third-party content, job postings, employer information and communications hosted on the Platform.
- The Company acts as a Data Fiduciary for personal data it collects and processes for its own specified purposes (operation and improvement of the Platform, recruitment facilitation, legal compliance, etc.).
- Employers are independent Data Fiduciaries for any personal data exported, downloaded or otherwise processed by them for their own recruitment or employment purposes, and must issue their own privacy notices where required.
3. Categories of Data Collected
Subject to applicable law and your choices, we may collect the following information:
3.1 Candidate data
- Identity details: name, contact details, age/date of birth, gender, city/location.
- Profile and employment data: education, skills, work history, languages, salary expectations, job preferences, CVs/resumes, portfolios, interview information, assessment results.
- Accessibility and accommodation data: self‑declared information relating to disability, accessibility needs, and reasonable accommodation, and where required and lawful, limited disability identification such as UDID or equivalent documents.
- Technical data: IP address, device information, browser type, access times, log data, cookies and similar technologies (to the extent used).
3.2 Employer and user data
- Business details: organization name, registration details, contact details, GST and billing information, authorised signatory details.
- Job and transaction data: job posts, hiring preferences, communication history, contracts, invoices, payment status.
- Usage data: Platform usage patterns, pages visited, features used, support tickets.
3.3 Sensitive and special‑category data
- The Platform collects limited, self‑declared information about disability or other protected characteristics only to facilitate inclusive hiring and to comply with relevant equality and disability laws.
- We do not collect detailed medical records or diagnostic histories, except where strictly required by law or a legitimate hiring requirement with your explicit consent.
3.4 Device and Usage Data
3.4.1 We may also automatically receive, collect, store and process certain data sourced by your usage of the Platform and the Services, such as standard usage logs, through the web server, cookies, standard web log data, traffic to and from our Platform, tracking within the same, and any other available data from:
- a. an IP address, assigned to the Device (as defined below) used by the User;
- b. type of browser used by the User;
- c. the domain server through which the User accesses the Platform and the Services;
- d. queries, comments, or feedback as submitted by the User, including any correspondence you have made with us; and
- e. the type/model/make of device used by the User (“Device“), your Device’s operating system, the type of Internet browser you use, and unique Device identifiers.
3.4.2 In order to enhance our ability to provide a valuable experience to the Users while accessing/using Platform and the Services, we may seek and receive one time or continuous access to:
- a. automatically receive, collect and analyze your location data which may be accessed through a variety of methods including, inter alia, GPS, Internet Protocol address, and Device location;
- b. collect data pertaining to your Device and your usage thereof, including, inter alia, data about your Device, and data about your use of features or functions on your Device;
- c. camera access to scan/capture/upload documents and/or photographs;
- d. microphone permissions; and
- e. any other files and media.
4. Legal Basis and Purposes of Processing
Personal data is processed primarily based on your consent and for lawful purposes connected with recruitment and livelihoods facilitation, as permitted under the DPDP. Personal data may also be processed without consent where such processing is permitted as a legitimate use under Section 7 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including for employment-related purposes, compliance with law, prevention of fraud, network security, and grievance redressal.
Where personal data is processed as a ‘legitimate use’ under Section 7 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, such processing does not require separate consent of the Data Principal.
The purposes for which personal data is processed include:
- Operating, maintaining and improving the Platform and Services.
- Creating and managing your account, enabling job search, job posting and matching.
- Facilitating contact between Candidates and Employers, including sharing Candidate profiles with Employers for relevant opportunities.
- Communicating with you regarding jobs, applications, updates, support and policy changes.
- Facilitating inclusive and non‑discriminatory hiring, including reasonable accommodation for PwD and transgender persons.
- Complying with legal obligations (labour, equality, social security, IT Act/Rules, DPDP, taxation and accounting laws.)
- Preventing fraud, abuse, security incidents and enforcing our Terms and Conditions, including non‑circumvention and fee‑related obligations.
- Anonymised or aggregated analytics, research and reporting, where no individual is identifiable.
- Communicating special offers and general information about our products, Services and events which may be relevant to you, unless you have opted out of such communications.
- Offering tailored content based on Users’ preferences and interactions with the Platform.
- Enabling marketing, promotional and sales-related communications in connection with the Platform and Services.
5. Consent Management and Your Choices
- Wherever required, we obtain your free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent before processing your personal data.
- You may opt out of receiving promotional or marketing communications from the Company at any time, and such opt-out will not affect your access to essential Platform Services, except where such communication is integral to the Service requested by you.
- You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 11; however, withdrawal may affect the Services we can provide (for example, we may not be able to process your job applications or share your profile with Employers). If you no longer want Hiring.ecomyogi.in to use your Personal Data to provide access to the Platform and the Services (or any part thereof), you can request that we erase this Personal Data and close your User account.
- Provided, however, any requests for erasure, or closure of User account, will be acted upon in accordance with applicable laws and may adversely impact hiring.ecomyogi.in ability to provide access to the Platform and the Services to you. You hereby agree and acknowledge that a mere request for erasure does not guarantee an immediate erasure of Personal Data, and all such requests will be acted upon in accordance with applicable laws and our internal policies.
- You may, at any time, revoke access to the aforesaid data through the Device settings, provided that your ability to access and use the Platform and the Services, or any portions thereof, may be restricted.
- Please note that if you request the erasure of your Personal Data:
- i. we may retain some of your Personal Data as necessary for protecting our legitimate business interests, such as fraud detection and prevention and enhancing safety;
- ii. we will not be required to delete any information which has been de-identified or disassociated with personal identifiers such that it can no longer be used to reasonably identify a particular individual; and
- iii. Hiring.ecomyogi.in will not be able to provide you with access to the Platform or the Services (or any part thereof) and you should cease and desist from using the Services.
- Consent; Withdrawing Consent and Restriction of Processing: In the event you do not consent to sharing your Personal Data with us for provision of access to the Platform and the Services (or any part thereof), we reserve the right to restrict or deny you the access to the Platform and the Services (or any part thereof).
Where processing is required by law or to comply with contractual or statutory obligations, withdrawal of consent may not lead to deletion of all data if retention is legally necessary.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosures
We may share personal data in the following limited circumstances:
- By Employers: Candidate profiles and relevant data are shared with Employers for bona fide recruitment purposes, subject to Employer obligations not to misuse or sell such data. The Company does not control and is not responsible for how Employers process personal data after accessing or downloading it from the Platform, and shall not be liable for any misuse, unauthorised disclosure, or violation of law by Employers.
- Once personal data is accessed, downloaded, or otherwise obtained by an Employer through the Platform, such Employer shall be solely responsible for its subsequent use, storage, sharing, and compliance with applicable data protection and privacy laws in respect of such personal data.
- With service providers: Trusted third‑party vendors (hosting, cloud, payment gateways, communication tools, analytics, background verification, etc.) who process data under contractual safeguards and only for specified purposes.
- With authorities: Government, regulatory, or law‑enforcement authorities, courts or tribunals, if required by applicable law or to protect legal rights, safety or security.
- Business transfers: In connection with any merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale of business, subject to continued protection of your personal data in line with this Privacy Policy.
- Personal data may be processed or stored outside India where required for service delivery, subject to applicable law and reasonable safeguards.
We do not sell or rent your personal data for marketing purposes.
7. Data Security and Retention

When data is no longer required, we endeavour to delete or irreversibly anonymise it, subject to backup and archival constraints and lawful retention obligations.
In the event of a personal data breach, the Company shall take reasonable measures to mitigate harm and notify affected Data Principals and the Data Protection Board of India, where required, in accordance with applicable law.
8. Data Principal Rights and Grievances
Under the DPDP Act, data principals may have rights to:
- Access and obtain a summary of personal data processed by us.
- Request correction, completion and updating of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Withdraw consent to processing, subject to legal and contractual requirements.
- Seek grievance redressal for personal data breaches or violations of DPDP obligations.
Accuracy of Information: You are responsible for ensuring that all personal information and details submitted by you on the Platform are true, accurate, complete, and kept up to date. The Company does not independently verify the authenticity of information provided by Users unless required by law or as part of specific service processes.
Action on Inaccurate or Misleading Data: Where the Company reasonably believes that any personal data provided by a User is false, misleading, outdated, or incomplete, the Company may take appropriate action, including restricting, suspending, or terminating access to the Platform or Services, or removing such data, in accordance with applicable law and without incurring liability, to protect the integrity, safety, and lawful operation of the Platform.
Requests that relate to personal data held directly by an Employer (for example, data stored in the Employer’s HR systems after download from our Platform) must be addressed to that Employer as an independent Data Fiduciary.
Grievances relating to personal data processed by the Company can be addressed to our Grievance Officer (see Section 11).
9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Platform may use cookies or similar technologies to:
- Maintain sessions and enable login and core functionality.
- Understand usage patterns, improve user experience and troubleshoot issues.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may affect Platform functionality.
10. Use of AI
Please note that a few Services which we offer are powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and may require you to interact with an AI powered agent. The AI powered agent is deployed and monitored by hiring.ecomyogi.in. All Personal Data that you disclose to the AI powered agent shall be managed in the same manner as is set out in this Privacy Policy.
11. Children’s Data
The Platform is not intentionally directed to children below 18 years of age and is intended for use by adults who can enter into legally binding contracts under Indian law.
If we discover that we have collected personal data from a child contrary to applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete such data unless retention is mandated by law.

The Company may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in law, technology or our Services.
The “Last Updated” date at the top will indicate the latest version; continued use of the Platform after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy forms an integral part of the Terms & Conditions governing use of the Platform.
